Dr Simon Hardy graduated from University College London in 2007. He is an Accredited Skin Cancer Doctor with the Skin Cancer College of Australasia and holds multiple postgraduate qualifications in skin cancer medicine, surgery and dermoscopy.
He has worked in regional and rural skin cancer clinics in Australia since 2014, gaining a depth of experience in recognising and managing all skin cancers - developing particular interests in dermoscopy, early melanoma detection, and advanced skin surgery.
Dr Hardy has completed numerous post-graduate surgical training posts in the UK and has undertaken advanced surgical skills training and mentorship in Australia. He enjoys using these skills to provide quality advanced skin cancer surgery in the community, reducing the need for hospital referral.
He has been a valued skin cancer doctor working in skin cancer clinics in Caloundra and the Sunshine Coast since 2020 and is passionate about providing high quality skin cancer care.
In his spare time he enjoys coaching his son’s rugby team, running (especially with his daughter), and trying to maintain his garden.
