Practice @ SunLife
At SunLife Skin Cancer Care Centre we believe that exceptional care and support for doctors allows them to provide exceptional care to patients. The facilities, technology and processes at SunLife have been developed to provide this support and achieve the ultimate goal of being a Care Centre where patients come first at every level.
We’re keen to hear from doctors dedicated to providing the best skin cancer care and who want to be part of something exceptional. Can you see yourself practising at SunLife?
About us
Providing exceptional patient-centred care doesn’t just happen overnight. At SunLife we have a culture of continuous improvement to create an innovative and dynamic workplace. We actively seek new ways to optimise processes, improve standards and cultivate a positive professional working environment. Training and support form an integral part of this culture. Our staff regularly engage in both personal and team development activities, practitioners are welcome to join.
Our Care Centre is custom designed to provide the highest standards in skin cancer care and treatment. With five large multi-use consult/procedure rooms and a three bay nurse treatment room, the space has been created for patient flow whilst maintaining comfort. The purpose-built Imaging Suite houses our Vectra WB360, providing the first privately available 3D Total Body Photography in SE Queensland. What’s more, we’ve built a White Light Photodynamic Therapy room, to provide pain free PDT to a large surface area in a short session.
Is SunLife the place for you?
Doctors who choose to practice at SunLife are independent practitioners who share our passion for high quality patient-centred care. As SunLife strives to provide the best modern facilities and positive working environment, doctors practising at SunLife strive to provide high quality, reliable and efficient care. They enjoy working alongside and engaging with a well organised team, developing their skills, seeking the latest evidence, and improving patient care. For interested doctors there is also the potential to develop research opportunities, particularly relating 3D TBP.
What skills and training do you need?
At SunLife we firmly believe in continuous improvement whatever stage of training and experience we find ourselves in. We get the best outcomes (and enjoyment!) from actively building this frame of mind into our day-to-day operations. Our service is designed to support doctors working at our centre to do the same.
We are looking to engage with doctors who share our dedication for Skin Cancer Care, both experienced Skin Cancer Doctors and those earlier in their skin cancer careers. Doctors will need to be registered to practice independently and have relevant experience and training in Skin Cancer Care. We recognise that there are different ways to achieve this and are happy to discuss further.
